The Holiday Reframe

Hi friend,

I had every intention of writing a gratitude note sooner — but life (and a much-needed vacation!) had other plans. Still, I couldn’t let the year wrap without telling you how deeply grateful I am for this community.

Your willingness to show up, to do the inner work — even when it’s messy — is what keeps me inspired. I truly love the magic and the mess of it all.

As we step into a season that’s equal parts glitter and grief, celebration and complexity, it felt like the right time to check in.

If the holidays feel more heavy than happy, you’re not alone — and you’re not broken. That’s why I’m sharing a few gentle tools to help you move through the rest of the year with a little more care, joy, and reflection.

🎧 Your Holiday Mood Booster Playlist 🎶

Because joy is therapy too.

This short playlist blends classic holiday feels with a few unexpected cultural remixes — including my personal favorite:

🎧 Last Christmas – Indian Remix (it slaps, in the best possible way)

➡️ Click here to get the playlist (You’ll thank me later!!)

Why it works: music + movement + a touch of novelty = an actual mood shift, grounded in neuroscience.

🧠 Mental Health Meets Holiday Movies

Did you know that Home Alone is basically an ode to boundaries, or that The Grinch is a case study in healing after emotional neglect?

➡️ Read: “What Holiday Movies Teach Us About Mental Health”

Use your favorite flicks as mirrors — they’ve got more insight than most holiday cards.

Hi friend, Do you feel like you’re constantly trying to mediate inner conflict? Maybe one part of you longs for connection, but another part distances you from others for fear of disappointment. Or one part of you might be begging you to slow down, but another says you can’t because you’ll lose momentum. The constant push and pull is exhausting and frustrating. But it’s not uncommon. That feeling of internal conflict or disagreement is a core concept in handling your parts with Internal...

Hi friend, Winter is my favorite season—not because of the cold, but because of the quiet. It’s the one time of year when the world slows down enough for me to fully inhabit my home, surrounded by good books and my favorite writing tools. I get to luxuriate in stillness. In reflection. In warmth. Lately, I’ve been aching for a creative ritual—something to help me return to the page. The last month and a half has been, frankly, a lot: family gatherings 500 miles away, speaking gigs, and a...

Hi friend, Singing carols, shared meals, shopping for gifts… These are all beloved hallmarks of the holiday season. But what is a happy time for many, can be a painful time for anyone grieving the loss of a loved one. The lights may be bright, but to a grieving heart, everything feels dimmer. And when your grief is fresh, that contrast can feel even sharper. Although grief is universal, it’s not tidy. It doesn’t follow rules, and it certainly doesn’t pause for the holiday. If your heart is...
